The MACSC is a non-profit Cancer Organization, which is committed to providing
services to women, men and children who are touched by cancer. It is a place where
people can find hope and healing. Our programs and cancer support services are
designed to inspire and empower cancer survivors, their caregivers, loved ones, and
healthcare providers.
A diagnosis of cancer can be a frightening and traumatic experience for cancer
patients and their families. People diagnosed with cancer are often confused about
what to do, who to turn to, and what will happen to them. They and their families need
a place to go for answers to the many questions that arise regarding cancer treatment,
side effects, screening, prevention, coping, and other issues. At the MACSC our vision
is to satisfy this need by providing personalized cancer information and support
services in a welcoming, private, community-based environment
The Mid-Atlantic Cancer Support Center will provide education, companionship, and
support that allow people with cancer to explore the best choices for their own
approach to coping with cancer. The Mid-Atlantic Cancer Support Center activities are
in support of, and in addition to, conventional medical treatment
