Uzbekistan Orphanage Projects
Mike & Cindy Edson

Mike and Cindy Edson continue to be supported by Kingdom Investors as they operate the Uzbekistan Orphanage that houses and cares for over 400 children.

When Cindy first came to the orphanage, she was appalled at the poor living conditions and lack of treatment and care for these children. She found them dehydrated and malnourished. The stench of urine and feces was suffocating; some were naked and cold; and, some had resorted to eating wood off the benches.

Mike and Cindy have transformed this facility into a place of love, healing, and compassion as they minister to their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Kingdom Investors continues to support Mike and Cindy in operating the Uzbekistan Orphanage that houses and cares for over 400 handicapped children. We were honored to have the Edsons as our guest speakers at our 2005 dinner and hear their vision for a young adult Transition Resource Center.

At age 18, handicapped children are removed from orphanages and placed in holding facilities for handicapped people, where there is no hope to ever transition into independence. Kingdom Investors would like to begin financing the Edson's vision for a Transition Center which would provide training in computers, physical therapy, and food preparation where they could become a productive part of society and live independently.

This dental facility was financed by Kingdom Investors and Annapolis area dentists. This Russian dentist volunteers his time every Saturday to help care for the handicapped children.
